In rural and suburban areas, conservation based subdivision design may be the most appropriate plan and we have several award winning projects to our name. In urban areas, we focus on infill and mixed-use development approaches. With any land planning project, Equinox explores opportunities to incorporate Low Impact Development (LID), walkability, and place making concepts into our design solutions, just to name a few. Proper planning for land development projects can help minimize adverse environmental impacts or ensure that they are avoided altogether. Proper planning can even feature as site amenities, those environmental attributes on a property that are often considered constraints or obstacles to be overcome in traditional land planning. We believe these goals are achievable whether the project is intended to satisfy residential, commercial, or recreational uses.
