Equinox developed a 1.3 mile section of greenway along the French Broad River through the New Belgium Brewery site. The greenway features a trailhead, a connector trail to West Asheville, overlooks, and retaining walls through this Brownfield site. The planning process included the coordination and involvement of a diverse groups of stakeholders while the design addressed a complex set of site challenges. *This project received the National Trails Award from American Trails.*
